Eric Jaffe

CEO & Founder

Eric is the CEO and founder of Mosaic Wealth Partners. He oversees Mosaic’s financial planning process, serves as the firm's investment strategist and portfolio manager, and manages the firm's retirement income distribution strategies.

Eric has worked in the financial services industry for more than 22 years. He particularly enjoys helping pre-retirees and retirees develop investment management strategies to weather the volatility of markets and achieve their personal goals. Prior to founding Mosaic Wealth Partners, Eric established and ran Jaffe Financial Management, and was an advisor at The Washington Group and AXA Advisors.

Eric began his career as an attorney at Ross, Dixon & Masback, LLP, in Washington, D.C., and then at the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia. Eric represented national corporations and government agencies in diverse matters such as insurance law, contract disputes, and constitutional law, including one case in which he represented NASA and the Air Force in defense of their award of a multi-billion dollar contract. Eric’s legal experience helped instill in him the skills he applies to his financial practice today, including planning and implementing strategies for the short, intermediate, and long term, coordinating multiple professionals to achieve his clients’ goals, providing the highest level of client service, and assessing the pros and cons of different approaches.

Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts at Amherst College and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School. Eric earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary and Retirement Income Certified Professional® designations and holds FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network® as well as a Life and Health Insurance license.

Eric is actively involved in his community and is passionate about the arts and sports. He is the Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee for and serves on the Board of The Atlas, a performing arts center in Washington, D.C., and he previously served on the Board and Finance Committee of Leveling the Playing Field, a non-profit organization that provides sports equipment to underserved youth.

Eric lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, is still working on taking his golf game to another level, and, after years of heartache, continues to celebrate the Washington Capitals' Stanley Cup victory. Eric also plays the drums when he can find some willing bandmates.
